Trustee Deanna Phillips nominated Harris and Trustee Angela Jones‑Williams seconded the nomination; VP Corbitt chaired the nominations and the board approved the slate by a show of hands. The board also approved the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting minutes unanimously.
"This indicated a unanimous vote in favor of President Harris becoming the president for 2026 for the East Orange Board of Health," the meeting record states. The board proceeded to brief introductions and moved to several agenda items including staffing updates and program funding.
