Council members and staff supported the idea in principle but laid out next steps: obtain written permission from Sunrise, produce a simple plan with photos for council review, secure a maintenance agreement from the student club so the path is cared for long‑term, and have the borough engineer and DPW review the design and permits. Council asked the presenter to return to a future meeting with the paperwork and a plan so the council can place the item on the agenda for a formal vote or authorization.
