The Clayton Planning Board on March 23 approved its 2026 reorganization agenda, appointing Alexis Smith, Esq. of Parker & McCay as solicitor, Tony Saban as chair and Joe Abate as vice chair while confirming Debbie Schlosser as board secretary and Wayne Roorda, Jr. of Bryson & Yates as engineer and planner. The board adopted a schedule of regular meetings and Development Review Committee (DRC) dates and designated The Sentinel of Gloucester County and the South Jersey Times as recommended media outlets.
Solicitor Alena Hyatt told the board that a recent change to the publication statute had taken effect March 1; she noted nominees and professionals were sworn in and motions to appoint officers and professionals carried with recorded ayes. The board also adopted an operating policy that "no applications will begin after 10 p.m.," a scheduling limit intended to prevent late-night hearings and to protect attendees and staff.
