Council approved a package of water-infrastructure actions Feb. 26, including authorization for an emergency repair to a water main on Delsea Drive and East Academy Street and awards of contracts for water meters and various water-main components.
On the consent agenda the council approved Resolution 57-26 (emergency repair authorization), Resolution 58-26 (award to Rio Supply Inc. for water meters), and Resolutions 59-26 and 60-26 for components (Ferguson and Caterina). The consent package also included awards and an agreement for planner services to assist with fourth-round affordable housing planning. The package was approved on a single motion with R-62-26 (closed session authorization) removed for separate handling.
Mark Brunermer presented the DEP-modified construction permit item and described the water-main replacement scope: "this is the Water Main Replacement Project for Sienna Drive to Academy Street," he advised. Council did not record extended debate during the consent vote; the meeting minutes show roll-call approval of the consent items considered routine.
