Pitman council reports 2024 municipal budget passage; fourth-quarter tax bills mailed

Councilman Mazzola reported that Mayor and Council passed the 2024 municipal budget on Oct. 7 and that fourth-quarter tax bills were mailed the previous Friday.
"I'd like to thank Clerk/Administrator McCafferty, Deputy Clerk Camacho, and CFO Bachich, along with everyone who helped to fold and stuff the bills," Mazzola said, noting the administrative steps that followed budget adoption. Bills are due by Nov. 15 per the water & sewer update for billing cycles mentioned later in the meeting.
Mazzola also said board of education meetings were beginning that week to discuss an upcoming referendum; no further budget amendments or votes were taken at the Oct. 15 council meeting.
