Pitman police ask council to ban parking along Crispin Park; Linden Avenue near high school to be reviewed

Pitman Police Chief McAteer urged Mayor Razze and council members on Sept. 23 to amend the borough's parking ordinance to restrict parking along Summit Avenue and Mt. Vernon Avenue for the length of Crispin Park, citing safety concerns near the playground. Chief McAteer estimated the change would remove roughly 10–12 parking spaces.
Mayor Razze also asked the chief to investigate potential parking problems on Linden Avenue near the high school. Councilwoman Milward asked whether recent no-parking signs on Glenmere Avenue would be made permanent; Chief McAteer said there are no current plans to make them permanent and that an audit will determine the most beneficial approach.
