Proposition B, a $4,000,000 bond for school technology improvements, received 462 votes in favor and 114 against; the cumulative report notes four undervotes for that proposition. The cumulative report lists 8,836 registered voters and an overall turnout of 580 ballots cast (6.56%).
The canvass documents include the ballot text identifying each measure as property tax increases. The proposition language in the official materials states, "THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE; the Issuance of bonds in the amount of $136,000,000 for school facilities, new buses, and retrofitting older buses with seatbelts, and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds." That framing appears verbatim in the order attached to the minutes.
Trustee Rick Chapa moved to adopt the order canvassing the returns and declaring the results; Trustee Leo Gonzalez seconded. Presiding Officer Paul Arriaga called the vote: Arriaga—"AYE," Gonzalez—"AYE," Chapa—"AYE." The motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m. The order was marked PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED May 11, 2026, and is to be executed and certified by the board president and secretary as stated in the order.
