TROY ISD board honors students for FFA, athletics, UIL and One Act Play accomplishments

The TROY ISD Board of Trustees approved resolutions on May 18 recognizing student achievements from Troy High School and Raymond Mays Middle School across multiple activities. The resolutions record that several students qualified for state-level competition and that at least one student will advance to the National FFA Contest in Indianapolis in October. Specific recognitions in the resolutions include: Owen DuPuis noted as "High Individual Overall in Texas" (FFA), multiple district and regional qualifiers in golf, tennis, basketball and UIL academic categories, and the One Act Play advancing to Bi-District with the tech crew honored as Outstanding Tech Crew.
Trustee Carrie Trees moved the motion to approve the resolutions; Jeffrey Thigpen seconded. The board recorded a unanimous vote in favor.
