During the March 19 administrative reports, Support Services Director Preston Lindsey told the board the district's list of summer projects is being prepared and that, for a possible high-school education wing, the architectural fee to move forward would be roughly $131,000. He said that fee would cover all aspects of preparing the project to go out to bid and noted the fee amounts to about 6.5% of the estimated project cost.
Board members took the information as an update; no authorization to contract for the architectural work was recorded in the minutes. Mr. Lindsey said the fee percentage depends on project scope and that further details and project scope will be presented next month when the district provides the summer-projects list.
