Tatum ISD approves resignations, new hires and contract renewals in executive session

In executive session trustees were informed of several resignations and approved employment of two professional educators plus contract renewals and contract changes for administrators, probationary, term and non‑certified employees for 2026–27.
The Board entered executive session under Texas Government Code §551.074 to consider personnel matters. Dr. J.P. Richardson informed trustees that Belinda Matlock submitted a resignation/retirement effective Feb. 24, 2026, and that Gerri BonDurant, Julia Ford and Cindy Tully intend to resign/retire effective at the end of the 2025–26 school year.
Dr. Richardson recommended hiring Zoe Kiper Jasso and Kristin Pitrucha as professional educators on 10‑month probationary contracts for 2026–27; Mrs. Kip Amick moved to approve the employment recommendations and Mr. Dennis Williams seconded. The motion passed 6-0. The Board also approved recommended contract renewals and contract changes for school administrators and for probationary, term and non‑certified employees for 2026–27, passing the related motions by recorded votes of 6-0. The actions were taken following executive‑session consideration permitted by Tex. Gov't Code §551.074.
