Tatum ISD board certifies two unopposed trustees and cancels May 2 election

Dr. Richardson then asked the Board to approve an Order of Cancellation under Section 2.053(a) of the Texas Election Code, reflecting that both candidates had been certified as unopposed and are thereby elected. Mr. Matt Crawford moved to approve the order; Mr. Curt Smith seconded. The motion carried 6-0, and the record reflects that the May 2 election was cancelled for these contests.
