Zillah council approves Steinmetz planned-unit development and rezone (Ordinance No. 1587)

The City Council approved Ordinance No. 1587 on Aug. 19, adopting findings and conclusions for the Final Planned Unit Development and rezone application submitted by Lori Steinmetz (PD 2022-12 & ER 2022-13). Community Development Director Ardele Steele presented the application and the public hearing, continued from Aug. 5, was opened and closed without public comment.
Councilmember Janice Gonzales moved to approve the findings and conclusions; Councilmember Beth Hustead seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The action finalizes the council’s review of the Steinmetz PUD and the rezone as described in the staff briefing memorandum and the council briefing packet.
