West Long Branch appoints borough attorney, bond counsel and municipal auditor for 2026

Bray moved and the council adopted resolutions confirming Gregory S. Baxter as Borough Attorney, John M. Cantalupo of Archer & Greiner, P.C. as Bond Attorney, and Robert S. Oliwa of Oliwa & Company as Municipal Auditor for calendar year 2026. Each resolution noted the appointments were made pursuant to the borough's fair-and-open process under Ordinance No. O-06-9 and authorized publication of notice as required by law.
The council also confirmed other legal appointments for 2026, including Sean T. Kean as Municipal Prosecutor and Charles F. Shaw III as Public Defender, and approved a fixed litigation hourly rate of $170 for outside counsel in litigated matters. All listed appointments and the legal-fee rate were adopted by roll call vote with the full council recorded as voting in the affirmative.
