Anthony Scalise named Planning Board chairman for 2026; Don Brocklebank chosen vice chair

Anthony Scalise was nominated and adopted as chairman of the West Long Branch Planning Board for 2026 during the board's Jan. 13 reorganization meeting. "On a motion made by Councilman Bray, seconded by Randy Triolo, Anthony Scalise was nominated as Chairman of the Planning Board for 2026. There were no other nominations," the minutes state.
The board also selected Don Brocklebank as vice-chairman on a motion by Councilman Stephen Bray, seconded by Chairman Scalise; the roll call vote was recorded in the minutes as unanimous in favor. The meeting record shows the board then adopted Jennifer O'Sullivan as the Board Secretary for 2026 and Lisa Norman as Recording Secretary, each on motions by Councilman Bray and recorded roll call votes.
The appointments were procedural and there was no discussion recorded on the nominations. The roll calls for these motions list the same set of members responding in favor except where attendance was recorded as absent.
