Board members asked for more granular data — not just percentages but counts of students within ranges so they can see how many are within a few points of moving to the next tier. Andrea and staff agreed to supply cohort-level projections and a breakdown of how many students are close to tier cutoffs, and said the district will provide follow-up materials and visualizations for the board.
The presentation underscored the district's focus on using diagnostics as one of several data sources; staff stressed that I Ready is meant to complement classroom assessments and state summative measures and is being used to plan interventions and teacher supports.
No formal policy decisions were taken; the board requested staff follow up with the requested student-count breakdowns and growth projections ahead of future meetings.
