Eatontown honors volunteer firefighter Mark Woloshin and issues April observances

At the March 25 Workshop and Regular meetings the council presented a proclamation honoring volunteer firefighter Mark Woloshin for 50 years of service to the Fire Department and nearly five decades with the First Aid Squad. Council President Virginia M. East read the proclamation into the record and congratulated Woloshin; Woloshin responded and thanked his family and the council.
The mayor read three month-long observances: National Autism Acceptance Month (April 2026), Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month (April 2026), and Donate Life Month (April 2026). Council members and committee chairs provided brief reports and announced upcoming community events including the Lions Pancake Breakfast (March 29), annual Easter egg hunt, spring soccer clinic, annual 5K run, and summer camp registration. The Parks & Recreation and environmental commissions also reported outreach and programs (maple syrup tapping program, tree marker initiatives).
