Trustee Mark Freeman moved to approve the plans as recommended by the campus and district improvement committees and the superintendent; the motion passed with a 5–0 vote and one abstention. "Brandy Schoener cited a lack of data showing how performance objectives changed year after year," meeting minutes record.
Administrators told trustees that SAT, ACT and TSAT registration and participation are high and noted active planning for FAFSA night at the high school. A district demographic study presented to the board projects new-home activity of about 10,350 lots and an anticipated total student enrollment of roughly 6,300+ by the 2035–36 school year, which administrators said is guiding current capacity planning.
The plan package included campus-specific strategies: high school efforts to expand college- and career-readiness meetings and CTE planning; junior high initiatives to broaden clubs and writing across subjects; middle school coaching and behavior supports tied to the Bluebonnet rollout; and elementary mentoring, family engagement and supports for English learners.
