Clayton council approves two hires and seeks part-time mechanic

The council authorized hiring Linda Kinsley as a laborer pending completion of pre-employment requirements; the motion passed unanimously. The council also authorized hiring Ashley Delaney as Public Works Clerk pending pre-employment requirements; Councilman Chapes recorded an abstention on that vote. Council voted to authorize advertising for a part-time mechanic on a motion from Councilman Chapes, seconded by Councilwoman Vondran.
The actions are personnel authorizations only; hires remain contingent on successful completion of pre-employment checks.
