Gray said the district hosted the FFA district convention after weather-related district closures, noted National FFA Week Feb. 23–27 and a forthcoming CTE Showcase on March 17. He flagged UIL realignment as a potential challenge for basketball districts and provided playoff dates: girls’ playoff game is scheduled for Feb. 17 at Tyler Junior College at 6 p.m.; the boys’ date is set for Feb. 24 with the location to be determined. Gray also noted UG will host a last-chance powerlifting qualifier next week and reminded trustees of the CX Debate event Feb. 12 at First Baptist Church in Gladewater.
