The Board voted to give Superintendent Chase Seelke the authority to offer contracts to new professional employees through Aug. 31, 2026. The motion, made by Joni VanHouten and seconded by Jim Sanders, was approved unanimously.
After a closed session that began at 7:14 p.m. and concluded with open session at 8:11 p.m., the Board approved specific hires that had been tabled earlier: Julia Prewitt (Assistant girls coach/Jr. high teacher, probationary contract), Sabrina Ferguson (Head Volleyball Coach, probationary), and Jacob Hooker (Head Baseball Coach, probationary). The motion to approve the hires was made by Brian Christen and seconded by Joni VanHouten and passed unanimously.
