At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Weimar ISD Board approved a multi-item consent agenda covering routine business and administrative matters. Items approved included minutes for Jan. 12 and Feb. 5 meetings; financial statements and reports (bills paid, tax collection, budget projection and budget-to-actual reports, and cash balances); an application for a low-attendance waiver for Jan. 23, 2026; calendar revisions for the 2025–26 year related to weather closures; a resolution to pay employees for the missed Jan. 26 work day; an order of election for May 2, 2026 for Trustee Place 1 and Place 2; and an interlocal agreement for Region 10 ESC Multi-Region Purchasing Cooperative participation for 2026–27.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Jim Sanders and seconded by Tom Strickland and recorded by vote: Joni VanHouten - (absent) Tom Strickland - yes Brian Christen - (absent) Steve Williams - yes April Mikulenka - yes Jeremy Maupin - yes Jim Sanders - yes. The calendar revision item specifically noted the district would not need to make up missed days because the revised calendar still exceeds the state-required instructional minutes.
