The Waxahachie Independent School District Board of Trustees convened a recognition meeting on May 4, 2026, at the Evelyn Coleman Building–Fine Arts Center. President Dusty Autrey called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.; Trustees Kim Kriegel, Debbie Timmermann, Ryan Pitts and Adrian Cooper attended, along with Superintendent Rebecca McCutchen and multiple assistant superintendents and administrators.
The trustees recognized a series of student and staff achievements across programs including Special Olympics, STEM teaching and campus celebrations, fine arts VASE competitions, Dual Language completion and multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) and FFA accomplishments. No one spoke during the open forum. Trustee Ryan Pitts moved to adjourn at the meeting’s conclusion; Trustee Kim Kriegel seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
