Weatherford ISD board elects officers for 2026–27 school year

At its May 11 meeting the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees unanimously elected Brian Catlin as Board President, Adam Feriend as Vice President and Wally Wallace as Board Secretary for 2026–2027.
The Weatherford Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously May 11 to set its leadership for the 2026–2027 term.
After the Certificate of Election and swearing-in procedures, trustees approved motions naming Brian Catlin Board President, Adam Feriend Board Vice President and Wally Wallace Board Secretary. The votes were recorded as yes from Catlin, Feriend, Ford, Lucia, Stephens, Wallace and Woods; no votes were not recorded.
The election of officers followed the formal administration of the oath of office to Kindra Lucia (Place 6) and Sammy Stephens (Place 7). Board procedures then moved into an executive session at 6:12 p.m. that addressed personnel, student discipline, safety and security, property and legal consultation; an employee retiree reception occurred during the recess.
The change in leadership takes effect as the board prepares for regular business during the summer and next academic year. The board listed its next regular meeting for June 8 at 6:00 p.m.
