At the Rainier City Council meeting, council members said they will finish a draft and present it to the full council next month and begin work on next year's emergency planning.
"We'll present it to council next month," said Committee member (S2), adding that weather looks manageable this year but the group needs to "tackle it for next year." The members discussed coordinating radio contacts through OC and a county overview scheduled for September, and said staff will continue drafting the plan.
The discussion did not result in formal action; council members framed the item as a planning step ahead of next season. Council members requested continued staff follow-up and county coordination in September.
