Transportation staff outlined proposed non‑eligible zones around the newly reopened Kendrick Elementary and described how Alta Vista overlay areas, apartment complexes lacking sidewalks and state highways factor into eligibility. "Our proposal for South Waco is essentially not to change any of the boundaries," a transportation presenter said, explaining that roadway conditions and infrastructure improvements informed recommended boundaries.
Trustees moved the resolution and the motion passed without recorded opposition. Administrators said the changes are tied to safety principles, sidewalk access and changes to campus locations and will be implemented according to the district’s transportation protocol.
