Margie Mueller, speaking for Manor teachers, said Manor currently operates with four split classes and four overloaded rooms; she said the proposed configuration would allow teachers to specialize in content areas and better target intervention for low-performing students. Those speakers asked the board to weigh space constraints and the practical benefits for instruction when making its decision.
