At its March 9 meeting, the Weimar ISD Board of Trustees approved a certificate of unopposed candidates and voted to cancel the School Board Trustee Election scheduled for May 2, 2026.
Both items were approved by roll-call vote as presented. The certification motion was made by Jeremy Maupin and seconded by Joni VanHouten. The cancellation motion was made by Jeremy Maupin and seconded by Tom Strickland; the minutes record unanimous approval among members present, with Jim Sanders absent.
