The Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees approved a set of consent items and budget actions at its April 20 meeting, including General Fund Budget Amendment #7 and Budget Amendment #7B to provide funding for bus purchases. Trustees authorized the district to spend up to $2,000,000 to purchase school buses at auction after a motion by Wally Wallace and a second by Kindra Lucia, and the matching budget amendment (#7B) to fund the purchase was approved (motion by Adam Feriend; second by Brian Catlin). Both votes were recorded as unanimous.
The board also approved the submission of a Staff Development Minutes Waiver for 2026–2027 and a Modified Schedule/State Assessment Testing Day Waiver, as well as a Resolution for a Bad Weather Day. Financial reports for the month ending Feb. 28, 2026, were reviewed as part of the superintendent’s communications. The minutes do not specify line-item budget details for the amendments beyond the authorization amount for bus purchases.
