The Weatherford Independent School District Board of Trustees reconvened in open session at 7:06 p.m. on April 20, 2026, after an executive session earlier in the evening. President Mike Guest certified that "The Provisions of Section 551.041 Sub Chapter C, Government Code as amended by the 73rd Legislature, have been complied with in connection with public notice of this meeting and a quorum is present."
During open session the Board approved a motion (moved by Adam Feriend; seconded by Brian Catlin) to recommend four administrative hires: Lisa Miranda for Director of Finance; Theresa Pollok for Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction; Kelsey Smith for Director of Instructional Support; and Ember McCune for Director of Career and Technical Education and CCMR. The motion passed unanimously with all seven trustees voting in favor.
The Board subsequently approved all administrative contracts as presented after a motion by Dan Woods and a second by Wally Wallace; that motion also passed by unanimous vote. Trustees also reviewed campus and program reports, including Crockett Elementary’s campus report and a Human Resources program evaluation, as part of the superintendent’s communications.
The approvals place the recommended candidates on the path for district-level assignments pending any final contract execution and administrative onboarding.
