The infrastructure and environment committee voted to authorize the village manager to purchase a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup, using the State of Illinois bid and Wright Automotive, for an amount not to exceed $26,900.
"Recommending award utilizing the state, bid contract with Wright Automotive, cost after and amount not to exceed $26,900," staff said during committee remarks. The committee noted the 2016 budget contemplated a reduction of about $4,000 from initial estimates and approved placing the purchase on the consent agenda.
The purchase will proceed under the state contract and the village will handle standard procurement and vehicle-assignment procedures upon council approval of the consent agenda.
