Palatine committee proposes $7,000 amendment for new village hall landscaping

Staff said the park district historically maintained landscaping around Village Hall but, after the renovation, each governmental body would be responsible for its own landscape maintenance. Based on proximity and prior performance, staff recommended an amendment with Bridal Wood Landscaping of Palatine to provide landscape maintenance through year end.
A staff member told the committee the contractor had maintained the parking deck and train station and that the same cost structure would be amenable. "We're recommending an amendment to that contractual relationship and not to exceed $7,000 for landscape maintenance from here till year end," the staff member said.
The committee voted to place the amendment on the council consent agenda for formal approval.
