The infrastructure and environment committee reviewed a staff recommendation to repaint the exterior visible surfaces of the Gateway Center parking deck, which was constructed in 2002 and is showing peeling and fading paint.
A staff member recommended selecting the low-compliant bidder, DES Painting, and said the work is intended to address flaking and faded colors on the originally brown-and-tan structure. "So we're, we're recommending repainting all of the exterior visible surfaces," the staff member said. Staff recommended a contract amount not to exceed $128,245.
The committee approved moving the contract award to the council consent agenda; the item later appeared in the council's consent agenda and was approved as part of items 1–18.
