Brenda reported to the board that Forks High School ran a credit-retrieval summer program to help students stay on track for graduation.
She said Jason Richard oversaw 28 students in three-hour sessions; “The 10 students were able to recover 1 class. 3 students recovered 2 classes,” Brenda said, and staff recorded 31 total class completions meeting the 50% threshold for progress. She added that average daily attendance during the program was about 72.
School leaders said the program’s structure and close progress monitoring helped redirect students who were off track and that they plan to run a similar program next summer.
