Union Grove ISD honors Star Students and hears Elementary GT presentation

At its April 13 meeting the board recognized Star Students and Star Staff of the Month and heard a presentation from Elementary GT teacher Jennifer Morvan and two GT students about a Kilgore College field trip.
The Union Grove ISD Board of Trustees opened its April 13 meeting with student and staff recognitions and a program report from the elementary gifted-and-talented (GT) program.
Star Students of the Month were recognized as Gauge Hulsebus (elementary), Elijah Cook (junior high) and Cami Ferguson (high school). Star Staff awards went to Whitney Hutchins (elementary) and Gailyn Sutton (JH/HS). The minutes record those recognitions in the information report portion of the agenda.
Teacher Jennifer Morvan presented slides with two GT students summarizing a field trip to Kilgore College for the Elementary GT Fair. The presentation was listed on the agenda as the program report for the elementary campus and was delivered to the board as part of the regular information items.
The recognitions and the GT presentation were presented as informational items; no board action was taken on the program report during the meeting.
