Board approves Region 7 vendors for insurance and petroleum, Region 7/8 for dairy and bakery for 2026–27

The West Rusk CCISD Board of Trustees approved a set of vendor lists for the 2026–27 school year during the April 20 meeting. Matt Eastwood moved to continue using Region 7 approved vendors for athletic student insurance, fleet insurance, and property and casualty insurance; Nathan Bishop seconded the motion and it passed unanimously among members present.
Trustees also approved using Region 7 and Region 8 approved vendors for dairy and bakery products, with Eastwood again moving and Bishop seconding. Nathan Bishop separately moved to use Region 7 approved vendors for petroleum products for 2026–27; Matt Eastwood seconded and the motion passed unanimously. All procurement motions were approved with the same members present who voted on the consent agenda.
