City to accept drainage easement from Orange County for Edgeway Drive; no cost to city

Staff reported Orange County will assign a drainage easement on Edgeway Drive to Winter Garden; the city would assume maintenance of underground drainage infrastructure with no cost and the property is in platting for possible Habitat for Humanity homes.
Planning Director Kelly Carson told the commission that staff is reviewing an assignment of a drainage easement from Orange County to the City of Winter Garden for property on Edgeway Drive. Carson said the City would take over maintenance of the underground drainage infrastructure and that there is no cost to the City; the privately owned property is in the platting process and may be the site of Habitat for Humanity affordable homes.
Commissioner Chloe Johnson moved to sign the Assignment of Drainage Easement from Orange County to the City of Winter Garden; Commissioner Lisa L. Bennett seconded and the motion carried unanimously 5-0.
