Information Technology Director David Livingston asked the commission to approve two budgeted IT items. He requested authorization to purchase 23 Cisco Catalyst switches with peripherals and licensing for $91,879 to replace aging network infrastructure and improve performance and security. He also asked to renew the Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement (year two of three) at a cost of $154,500.51 to maintain Microsoft 365 and related services.
Commissioner Colin Sharman moved to approve the Cisco switch purchase; Commissioner Iliana R. Jones seconded and it passed unanimously 5-0. Commissioner Sharman then moved to approve the Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement renewal; Commissioner Chloe Johnson seconded and that motion also passed unanimously 5-0.
