At a short June 30 meeting, the WEST ORANGE-COVE CISD board voted unanimously to approve 2025-26 budget amendments and to adopt three 2026-27 budget components: the General Operating Budget, Food Service and Debt Service. Linda Platt-Bryant moved the consolidated motion and Demetrius Hunter seconded; the board recorded six votes in favor, zero opposed and zero abstentions.
The items VI.A and VI.B (including VI.B.1, VI.B.2 and VI.B.3) were considered and voted on together. The board president, LaTricia Stroud, announced that the motion carried and no closed session was required before adjourning at 6:05 p.m.
