Board approves three hires and accepts two resignations after executive session
Summary
Following executive session the board hired Brain Lawson (assistant high school principal), Joy Reeves (5th-grade teacher) and Tonya Davis (assistant principal, intermediate) and accepted resignations from Scott Kaufman (junior high assistant principal) and Dina Miley (kindergarten teacher).
After convening in executive session, the West Rusk County CCISD board returned to open session and took personnel actions at the June 15 meeting.
Jeff Mason moved to hire Brain Lawson as assistant principal for the high school, Joy Reeves as a fifth-grade teacher, and Tonya Davis as assistant principal for the intermediate campus; Nathan Bishop seconded the motion and the board approved the hires unanimously. The board also approved resignations: Scott Kaufman as junior high assistant principal and Dina Miley as a kindergarten teacher; that motion was moved by Jeff Mason, seconded by Mathew Eastwood, and approved unanimously.
The board adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
