Board schedules Aug. 31 budget workshop and public hearing on tax rate

He also moved to change the regular August meeting from August 17 to August 31 at 6:00 p.m. to allow the board to approve the 2026–27 budget, set the 2026–27 tax rate, and amend the 2025–26 budget. Chris Pratt seconded the motion; President Sandra Smith announced the motion passed unanimously.
The schedule establishes formal public notice and a hearing opportunity ahead of final budget and tax-rate adoption.
