City Engineer Tim Geary told the council that three contracts will be awarded for the 2026 Paving Project and that the 79th Street bus-stop paver project will begin next week. The remarks were included in the engineering report portion of the May 12 session and were presented as informational.
The MFT Street Rehabilitation Project No. 25-00060-00-RS was later awarded to Lindahl Brothers, Inc., a vote that moves at least one planned asphalt/rehabilitation contract into the award stage for the 2026 season. The engineer’s comments indicate the city is sequencing multiple contracts this construction season.
