WESTBROOK ISD swore in four newly elected trustees and completed its annual officer elections at the May 28 regular meeting.
Elected trustees Sam Nemir, Brent Cochrane, Kirk Allen and Richard White were sworn in and signed the Oath of Office. The board then conducted officer elections: Jim Hale moved to nominate Jason Morris as president, seconded by Thomas Connell; the motion "carried with 6-0 votes." Separately, the board approved Thomas Connell as vice president and Jim Hale as secretary by the same 6-0 vote count.
The changes formalize the board's leadership for the coming term and complete the transition after the recent trustee election. The actions recorded in the minutes were procedural and carried unanimous support where noted.
