Athletic Director Rafe Mata told trustees "the district has already received the $40,000 in pledges towards the needed $75,000 and asked the board for the approval to go ahead and go into contract with Daktronics so that the process can get started due to at least a 12 week turn around for the scoreboard." Chris Pratt moved to authorize the contract, Iris Hammontree seconded, and the motion passed unanimously with those present.
Board members did not record specific contract terms in the minutes; the motion authorizes staff to proceed with the procurement and scheduling steps necessary to meet the vendor lead time.
