During review of construction plans for the Habitat Edgeway project on Jan. 29, city engineering staff stated that no fences will be permitted in the 10-foot-wide rear drainage easement for Lots 2 through 7 and raised concerns about enforcement and maintenance responsibility. Applicants agreed to add notes on the plat to reflect the restriction, and staff accepted adding the notes to the plat. City Engineer Jim Monahan moved to have the applicants revise and resubmit the Construction Plans for staff review only; Building Official Skip Nemecek seconded and the motion carried unanimously 5-0.
The committee did not grant construction-plan approval; the action was a directive to revise plans and incorporate the drainage-easement note for subsequent staff review.
