DRC asks Dragonfly Reserve developers to revise preliminary plat over grinder pump and outfall concerns

The Development Review Committee on Jan. 29 directed Dragonfly Reserve applicants to revise and resubmit the Preliminary Plat for another full DRC review cycle after engineering staff raised concerns about wastewater and stormwater design. City Engineer Jim Monahan moved to require a full DRC resubmittal; Building Official Skip Nemecek seconded and the motion carried unanimously 5-0.
Staff stated that individual grinder pumps for private homes would not be permitted and that the development will need a single lift station sized for future development; applicants were told they will be required to enter into an agreement to pay a portion of that lift station. On stormwater, staff said the proposed "bubble-up" outfalls are not acceptable and that outfalls must be piped to an acceptable pipe or ditch; staff indicated they will visit the site to clarify discharge routing and related details. Applicants acknowledged staff direction and will revise plans accordingly.
No approvals were granted; the DRC concluded the item pending a revised preliminary plat and further engineering responses.
