Weimar ISD trustees sworn in; board re-elects Steve Williams as president

The oath followed the May 2 election in which both candidates were unopposed. Later in the meeting, after the board reconvened from closed session, trustees completed a reorganization of the board.
With a motion by Jeremy Maupin and a second by Joni VanHouten, the board elected Steve Williams as president, Brian Christen as vice-president and April Mikulenka as secretary. The vote was recorded as unanimous: Joni VanHouten—yes; Tom Strickland—yes; Brian Christen—yes; Steve Williams—yes; April Mikulenka—yes; Jeremy Maupin—yes; Jim Sanders—yes.
The board adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m. following the reorganization.
