Waelder ISD spotlights staff and students; hears ECHS presentation and Student Center update

Waelder Independent School District trustees opened the April 20 meeting with staff and student recognitions. Elementary Principal Sharon Talbert and Secondary Principal Traci Talley recognized April Spotlight staff members Ivanka Lilie and Miranda McKinnon and honored student Pablo Nava; three additional students (Jostin Ramos Zelaya, Alan Trejo Araiza, Ana Nino Amaro) were noted as absent but recognized in the minutes.
Alex Metcalf delivered the district’s annual ECHS presentation. Superintendent Dr. Ron Lilie provided a progress update on construction at the WISD Student Center and on miscellaneous maintenance projects across district campuses.
