"So, last week I sent each of you an email with all of the MASB bylaws and all of the MASB resolution," Mary said, and asked colleagues to flag any wording they'd like changed.
Mary said the resolutions had been approved at MASB's 2024 annual leadership conference and that, as a committee member, she can propose edits to both resolutions and bylaws before the wider membership votes. She asked board members to notify her of any suggested deletions, rewordings or additions she should raise; the board discussed timing for submitting changes and sending a voting delegate to the annual leadership conference.
Board members acknowledged the role MASB plays in coordinating advocacy and leadership for public education and agreed Mary should return with any recommended language for the district's position. No formal motion was recorded; Mary said she would present a draft to the board if members provided suggestions.
