Administrators report facilities work and post-bond survey; board to consider SB 11-related prayer policy in February

Support Services Director Preston Lindsey told the board that nine floors were replaced at the high school over the holiday break; elementary window film will be installed this week per the District Vulnerability Assessment, and additional elementary fencing was required by the assessment. Both elementary gyms had floors refinished and the high school track refinishing should be completed next week.
Finance Director Blake Rowe reported tax collections as of Dec. 31, 2025: 38.67% of the current year levy and 37.80% of the budgeted revenue have been collected. Superintendent Tammy Jones said a post-bond survey postcard was mailed and is available on the district website; the survey closes Jan. 22. Jones said Region 7 and district attorneys are seeking guidance on Senate Bill 11 before the board considers a February resolution on adding a prayer or religious text reading time to the daily schedule.
