Cochise County supervisors certify July 21 primary election canvass

The Cochise County Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 on July 30 to accept the election results certified and submitted by the Cochise County Elections Department as the official canvas for the July 21, 2026 primary election. Supervisor Gomez moved to accept the certified results and the motion was seconded; Chair Antinori declared, "Motion carries three-zero, and the election is here, the canvass is hereby, certified."
Elections Director Yvonne Avant presented the department's report before the vote and the Board opened the required public hearing for the canvass; no members of the public requested to speak. The Board recorded the unanimous voice vote and noted the canvass was uploaded to the official record on July 27 following post-election testing.
